| Owners are advised to check with their insurance company about adding special assessment coverage to their policy.
If a loss occurs at the property, and the deductible is a large amount of money, the Board can decide to assess each owner his/her share of the deductible. Owners can get coverage on their homeowner policy called "Loss Assessment Coverage" for a minimal charge. In the event that homeowners are assessed for a loss, this policy would kick in and pay the assessment. IMG is the agent for the master hazard and flood policies for the Starfish III, IV & V Condo Association. If you have a mortgage, your lender may need a certificate verifying the master policy's limits of coverage and naming them as a lender.
